JENESYS 2.0: Science and Technology 5th Batch (Science and Technology, Manufacturing, Advanced Technology) Students and Youth Exchange Programme (Viet Nam, Thailand)

    From 3 March to 11 March, about 100 high-school and university students from Viet Nam and Thailand are visiting Japan as part of programme on the theme of “Science and Technology (Science and Technology, Manufacturing, Advanced Technology)” under JENESYS 2.0.

    Participants will first visit Tokyo to observe historical buildings and a Japanese company with advanced technology. Then they will be divided into four groups to visit Nagano, Niigata or Hokkaido Prefectures. In order to have a first-hand experience with the “Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants will have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each prefecture on various aspects through visit to a local government, a local company and popular sights, and through cultural experience as well as exchange of views with local residents.

    This programme is expected to enable youths in Viet Nam and Thailand to deepen their understanding of and interest in Japanese values including its strengths and attractions as well as to disseminate their experiences to their respective countries.
