26 February 2014
From 24 February to 4 March, about 150 Cambodian high-school students and Vietnamese and Malaysian university students majoring in Japanese language are visiting Japan under JENESYS 2.0.
Participants first visited Tokyo and Chiba to observe Japanese language communication experience and Japanese traditional culture. Then they have been divided into six groups to visit Nagano, Aichi or Mie Prefectures. In order to have a first-hand experience with the “Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants will have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each prefecture on various aspects through visiting a local government, a local company and popular sights, having a cultural experience as well as homestay and exchanging views with Japanese students.
This programme is expected to enable youths in Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia to deepen their understanding of and interest in Japanese values including its strengths and attractions as well as to disseminate their experiences to their respective countries.
