JENESYS 2.0 “Science and Technology, Infrastructure, Manufacturing” Students & Youth Exchange Programme (1st, 2nd and 3rd Batches)

    From 27th January to 4th February 2014, about 150 university students from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Thailand are visiting Japan as part of program on the theme of “Science and Technology, Infrastructure, Manufacturing” under JENESYS 2.0.


    Participants first visited Tokyo and Kanagawa prefecture to observe the urban infrastructure, advanced technology and traditional culture in the areas. Then they have been divided into five groups to visit Hokkaido, Miyagi, Gunma, Nagano and Kyoto prefectures. In order to have a first-hand experience with “the Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each prefecture on various aspects through visiting a local government, a local company and popular sights, having a cultural experience as well as exchanging views with local residences.


    This programme is expected to enable youths in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Thailand to deepen their understanding and interest to Japanese values including its strengths and attractions as well as to disseminate their experiences in Japan to their respective countries.
