JENESYS 2.0: JAPAN-ASEAN STUDENT CONFERENCEDecember 2, 2013 The Japan-ASEAN Student Conference will take place under the JENESYS 2.0 and about 150 youths from ASEAN Member States will visit Japan from 7th to 16th December 2013. In celebrating the 40th year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, this Conference is scheduled to be held at the same period as the ASEAN-Japan Special Summit Meeting in Tokyo on 13th to 15th December 2013. The Conference aims to encourage and enhance the participation of youths in ASEAN Community Building. Total 180 youths including 30 Japanese youths will participate in this Conference to discuss the role of ASEAN and Japanese youths towards peace, stability, development and prosperity in Asia. The participants will be divided into five groups and deepen their knowledge and understanding about issues in the fields of Education, Entrepreneurship, Environment and Corporate Social Contribution (CSC), Social Contribution Activities by Youth based on the Volunteerism, and Traditional Culture. The result of the Conference will be summarized as Action Plans. Through the programme, the participants are expected to build long-lasting friendship and human network, and to develop Action Plans for the youths in ASEAN and Japan to contribute to peace, stability, development and prosperity in Asia. |
