360 ASEAN YOUTHS VISIT JAPAN UNDER JENESYS 2.0

From 23rd June to 30th June 2013, as part of JENESYS 2.0 Programme, about 360 university students from ASEAN Member States are visiting Japan. The participants are divided into three groups and visit Chubu area (Gifu and Mie), Kansai area (Kyoto and Nara) or Kyusyu area (Fukuoka, Nagasaki and Kumamoto).
In order to have a firsthand experience with “the Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each area through visiting local governments, local companies, popular sights and home visit in the local area as well as having a meeting to exchange views with university students and residents in the local area.
This programme is expected to deepen the understanding and interest to Japan’s strengths and attractions as well as Japanese values.
