JENESYS 2.0: Japanese Language, 8th Batch (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, India, New Zealand)

    From 29 September to 7 October, 144 youths from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, India and New Zealand are visiting Japan as part of a programme on the theme of “Japanese Language” under JENESYS 2.0.


    Participants first visited Tokyo to undergo orientation, visit the Asakusa Temple and take part in a workshop on Japanese language communication. They will then be divided into groups to visit Ibaraki, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Fukuoka, and Nagasaki Prefectures to learn Japanese language and the Japanese culture by visiting local schools and governments as well as facilities relating to nature, history and culture. Through various programmes including homestay, participants will have the opportunity to feel the attractions of the regions on various aspects and to deepen their understanding of the lives of Japanese people.


    Through this exchange programme, participants are expected to deepen their understanding of and interest in Japan’s strengths and attractions and Japanese values and to actively disseminate their experiences in their countries.
