JENESYS 2.0: Visit to Japan by Social Community 17th Batch (Malaysian high-school students)19 September 2014 From 17 to 24 September, about 70 high-school students from Malaysia are visiting Japan as part of a programme on the theme of “Social Community” under JENESYS 2.0. On 17 and 18 September, participants visited the National Museum of Emerging Sciences and Innovation, the Edo-Tokyo Museum, Asakusa, and Akihabara. Then they were divided into two groups to visit Nagasaki and Yamaguchi Prefectures to have homestay experience, exchange views with Japanese high-school students, and other cultural experience activities. Through this programme, the youths from Malaysia are expected to deepen their understanding of and interest in the “Japan brand” and Japanese values including its strengths and attractions, and to actively disseminate their experiences in their country. |
