JENESYS 2.0 Japanese language, 7th Batch (Philippines, Lao PDR, Timor-Leste)

    From 7 to 15 September, 98 youths from the Philippines, Lao PDR and Timor-Leste are visiting Japan as part of a programme on the theme of “Japanese language” under JENESYS 2.0.


    Participants first visited Tokyo to have orientation, observe the Asakusa Temple, and participate in a workshop on Japanese language communication. Then they were divided into 2 groups to visit Miyagi Prefecture and Hokkaido to visit a local high-school and university, a local government and a natural and historical culture-related facility, as well as to learn about the Japanese language and culture. They will have the opportunity to experience the attractions of each region on various aspects and deepen their understanding of the lives of Japanese people through various programmes including homestay.


    Through this programme, the youths from the Philippines, Lao PDR and Timor-Leste are expected to deepen their understanding of and interest in Japanese brand and values including Japan’s strengths and attractions, and to actively disseminate their experiences in their countries.
