13 June 2014

From 18 to 25 June, about 60 university students from Indonesia who are dealing with civil society activities will visit Japan under JENESYS 2.0.

Participants will first visit Tokyo to observe Japan’s advanced technology as well as history- and culture-related facilities. Then they will be divided into two groups to visit Yamagata and Niigata Prefectures where they will visit historical buildings in the area and observe a recycle and disaster management facilities. The participants will also have an opportunity to feel the attraction of each prefecture on various aspects through cultural experience as well as school visit.

This programme is expected to enable youths in Indonesia to deepen their understanding of an interest in Japanese values including its strengths and attractions as well as to disseminate their experiences in their country.
