Participants first visited Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, which is a model city for disaster management, where they learned about the measures for disaster management. Participants also observed the Edo-Tokyo Museum and Meiji Shrine in Tokyo to feel the attractions of Japanese culture on various aspects.
The programme is expected to enable youths from the Philippines to deepen their understanding of and interest in “Japan brand” and Japanese values including its strengths and attractions, to disseminate their experiences in their country.
