JENESYS 2.0: Science and Technology 9th Batch (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Food Products) Students and Youth Exchange Programme (Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Timor-Leste)19 May 2014 From 13 to 20 May, about 150 university and vocational school students from Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Timor-Leste are visiting Japan as part of a programme on the theme of “Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Food Products” under JENESYS 2.0. Participants first visited Tokyo to have historical cultural experience and also visit a facility to observe advanced technology. Then they will be divided into groups to visit Iwate, Aichi and Hyogo Prefectures. In order to have a first-hand experience with the “Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants will have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each prefecture on various aspects through visiting a local government, a local company and popular sights, having cultural experience as well as exchanging views with local residents. This programme is expected to enable youths from Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Timor-Leste to deepen their understanding of and interest in “Japan brand” and Japanese values including its strengths and attractions, and to disseminate their experiences in their country. |
