JENESYS 2.0: History, Tradition and Cultural Exchange 8th Batch (Food Culture & Cuisine Promotion) (Cambodia)19 May 2014 From 13 to 20 May, 22 university, vocational school and high school students from Cambodia are visiting Japan as part of a programme on the theme of “Food Culture & Cuisine Promotion under JENESYS 2.0. Participants first visited Tokyo to observe historical and cultural facilities in the city. Then they visited Tokushima Prefecture. In order to have a first-hand experience with the “Cool Japan” that is highly acclaimed and attracting a large attention in many fields, the participants will have an opportunity to feel the attractions of each area on various aspects through visiting a local government and a local company, observing the food culture of each region and visiting popular sights, having cultural experience as well as exchanging views with local residents. This programme is expected to enable youths from Cambodia to deepen their understanding of and interest in “Japan brand” and Japanese values including its strengths and attractions, and to disseminate their experiences in their country. |
