Session of “Japan-ASEAN Dialogue for Competitive and Resilient Business” organized by UNDP

On September 15, in Bangkok, Thailand, “Japan-ASEAN Dialogue for Competitive and Resilient Business” was successfully held by UNDP with support from the Government of Japan.
In the session, human rights due diligence practices in ASEAN supply chain and initiatives by each government of ASEAN and Japan were shared with the aim of strengthening corporate competitiveness and fostering further cooperation between public and private stakeholders. On this occasion, officials of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry attended from Japan. In addition, the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, YONETANI Koji, participated online. Ambassador YONETANI stated that Japan’s efforts for business and human rights would contribute to more resilient and sustainable supply chain in the ASEAN region.
