AICHR Workshop supported by JAIF

On July 13 and 14, the AICHR (ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights) convened “ASEAN Workshop on Strengthening the Implementation of Business and Human Rights to Address Forced Labour and Modern Slavery and Enhance Protection Through Human Rights Due Diligence” in partnership with the Ministry of Justice of Thailand and other organizations, which was held under the auspices of JAIF. At the workshop, the Representatives of AICHR and participants from businesses, international organizations, civil society organizations, trade union and others discussed topics on Business and Human Rights, including a mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence.
Ambassador Yonetani of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN sent a video message to the workshop as well as Director Sakai of International Civil and Commercial Law Center Foundation (ICCLC) attended the workshop giving welcome remarks, and they contributed to the discussion.
