Mr. HIRAGUCHI Hiroshi, Minister of Justice of Japan, participated in the 1st ASEAN-Japan Law Ministers’ Meeting held in Manila, the Philippines on 15 November 2025.
 
This meeting serves as a platform to continue ministerial-level dialogue in the field of law and justice, established at the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Japan in 2023.  ASEAN-Japan Law Ministers’ Meeting is expected to be held regularly in conjunction with the ASEAN Law Ministers’ Meeting (ALAWMM), which takes place every other year.
