Farewell reception for Ambassador Kiya was held on 12 November. Ambassador Kiya, whose tenure as the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN was coming to a close, delivered a farewell speech via video message. Ambassador Gerard Ho, Permanent Representative of Singapore to ASEAN, the current ASEAN Coordinating Country for Japan, also gave a remark, expressing his gratitude for Ambassador Kiya’s contributions.
 
The reception was attended by many guests, including senior officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN, Ambassadors of ASEAN Dialogue and Sectoral Partners, and other related organisations.
