Courtesy call to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

On 18th September 2024, H.E.Mr.KIYA Masahiko, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, made a courtesy call on H.E. Prof.Dr. H.M Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
During the meeting, they discussed the importance of steadily implementing the Joint Vision Statement on ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Trusted Partners which was adopted at last year's the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation/the Commemorative Summit and the ASEAN-Japan Work Plan on Law and Justice which also was adopted at last year’s the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers, in order to promote the “rule of law” in the ASEAN region, and also confirmed their expectations for a ASEAN-Japan Good Practice Seminar on Intellectual Property 2024-2025 (JSIP follow-up seminar) which will be held in Jakarta this December.
In addition, the Chief Justice H.E Prof.Dr. Syarifuddin expressed his appreciation for Japan’s long-standing support for the legal technical assistance project for the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
