On 29 August, Environmental Leadership and Project Management Training was held in collaboration with ASEAN-Japan Centre and ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO). More than 50 youth from Japan and ASEAN countries, who are participants of the ASEAN Japan Youth Environmental Leaders Network Program, participated in person and online. Minister Chujo gave the encouragement to the participants of the programme. First secretary of KAWAMOTO Yosuke, Mission of Japan to ASEAN and First secretary of SHIGEMATSU Takayuki, Embassy of Japan in Indonesia gave the presentation to explain the Japanese Government’s strategy to tackle the marine plastic debris problem and other environmental issues in ASEAN countries. The participants also learned the past history and future outlook of ASEAN-Japan relation which marked its 50^th anniversary last year, and discussed how to “Co-create” the tackling environmental actions.
