Special IGA (Industry-Government-Academic) Dialogue for Actions: Acceleration of AOIP Mainstreaming for Peace, Stability and Prosperity for the People in the Indo-Pacific was held on 19 December, and Ambassador Kiya made commemorative remarks at the opening session. 

This dialogue was hosted by ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) given the context that the ASEAN leaders adopted the Declaration on Mainstreaming for Priority Areas of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific within ASEAN-led Mechanisms at the latest ASEAN Summit on November 11, 2022. AJC intended to identify key priority actions toward acceleration of AOIP mainstreaming through discussions among senior government officials, researchers, and experts from various countries. 

Ambassador Kiya emphasized in his remarks that this event is timely and relevant as AOIP is gaining greater importance in the region today and the discussion with multi-stakeholders with various backgrounds would facilitate concrete actions to accelerate AOIP Mainstreaming.
