Japanese Flower Arrangement Workshop
2022/4/4

From 28 to 31 March, spouses of Head of Mission and women playing active roles in Jakarta, approximately 30 people in total, gathered at the Ambassador’s residence to participate in “Japanese Flower Arrangement (Ikebana) Workshop,” presented and demonstrated by Mrs CHIBA Yuko, spouse of Ambassador CHIBA.
Mrs Chiba first explained the forms and techniques of Ikebana, then demonstrated how to arrange them. Afterwards, participants tried arrange flowers and plants in their own way with their creativity, while actively asking questions and exchanging their views. It was a great opportunity for participants to enjoy the beauty of the flowers and to deepen their interest in Japanese flower arrangement and culture.
