Report by Ms Melody Nurramdhani Laksani, the Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture to the Japanese Ambassador to ASEAN

On May 2, 2019, Ms. Melody Nurramdhani Laksani, the Japan-ASEAN Goodwill Ambassador on Food and Agriculture, reported her activities to H.E. Mr. Kazuo Sunaga, the Japanese Ambassador to ASEAN.
More than one year has been passed since Ms. Melody, former member of JKT48, was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN friendship and cooperation.
Since the appointment, Ms. Melody participated in several events and activities, such as the event of lecture and demonstration of Japanese cuisine organized by the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, and the Human Resources Development Project in Food-Related Areas through Partnership Program with ASEAN Universities dispatching Japanese coordinators, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan. She shared such activities with ASEAN people through her SNS.
Upon her report, Ambassador Sunaga expressed his appreciation for Ms. Melody’s activities and respect for her efforts to deepen the knowledge about Japanese technologies and current situation in ASEAN in the area of food and agriculture. Ambassador Sunaga also asked her to continue broadly sharing with ASEAN people what she learns and feels through her experience.
