Ambassador Sunaga’s keynote speech at the seminar on “International Conference on ASEAN Studies Rethinking of Law, Institution, and Politics in Advancing Partnership for Sustainable ASEAN Community”

On March 13, H.E. Kazuo Sunaga, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, gave a keynote speech at the seminar on “International Conference on ASEAN Studies Rethinking of Law, Institution, and Politics in Advancing Partnership for Sustainable ASEAN Community” hosted by ASEAN Studies Center of Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
 
In the speech, he explained the history and framework of the Japan-ASEAN relationship, and the current situation and future policy of Japan’s Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy (FOIP). He also got an press interview after the speech.
 
Participants had an opportunity to get an in-depth understanding about the current environment in the Indo-Pacific region including ASEAN.
