Ambassador Sunaga’s participation to the Signing Ceremony of the Protocol to amend the APTERR Agreement

On October 12, H. E. Kazuo Sunaga, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, attended the signing ceremony of the Protocol to amend the APTERR Agreement held in Hanoi, Viet Nam, and signed the Protocol on behalf of the Government of Japan together with other states’ representatives.
 Through signing the Protocol, the 18th Meeting of the ASEAN+3 Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting the implementation of the APTERR Agreement.

 
: APTERR is an acronym of ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve. It is the ASEAN+3 framework to reserve rice for emergency situation such like natural disaster to strengthen food security and poverty eradication in the region.
