On 22 May 2017, 22 members of Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) gathered at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, Mr Kazuo Sunaga, to participate in a Japanese cuisine demonstration by Mr Masato Tsuki, Chef of the Ambassador.

Chef Tsuki demonstrated how to make thin sushi rolls called “hosomaki” and afterwards invited several participants to try making their own hosomaki. The demonstration was followed by a lively Q&A session. Participants of the event gained deep interest in making sushi.
